Looks like we are sticking with a two striker line-up. Presumably 4-4-2: Gomes,
Corluka, Woodgate, King, Assou-Ekotto,
Lennon, Zokora, Huddlestone, Bentley,
Bent, Pavlyuchenko. - Looks like Jenas is still injured (not even on bench)
- King and Woodgate back together again
- Assou-Ekotto favoured over Bale at LB
- Lennon starting on right with Bentley sacrificed on the left (although I assume they will switch)
- Boateng on bench

A agree. On the other hand if the manager thinks BAE is equally good or better it means we have serious competition at LB, which is good. With Hutton and Gunter also in contention at RB and Corluka and Dawson as 3rd and 4th choice at CB, we actually have good depth. Now, if they can just learn to play well together as a unit. In general, the less dependent we are on one player at any position the better. We might not have the superstars but we have slightly better depth than say Liverpool.

50.07: GOAL - EVERTON. Arteta took quick free-kick to Pienaar, left side, let fly from 20 yards and the ball deflected off Corluka and into the corner, Gomes left helpless.

That kind of sucks. A very lucky goal but we didn't really do much until near the end.
We really need Jenas back. I'm not sure what is wrong but drilling a hole in his toe a few weeks ago so he couldn't play didn't sound too scientific. Its more tha ancient practice of bleeding the victim ... er, patient to remove evil spirits.
