Saints played well today, especially second half. Not sure why Euell got sent off as it didn't look a bad tackle from where I was standing. However, ref was right there so he must have seen something. Good luck for the rest of the season.

We played Ok.
We have a naive defence and don't score goals and therefore will be relegated.
Euell shouldn't have been sent off, but a couple of players dived in just before hand, which was a little unecessary and probably made Euell's tackle look a bit reckless, when it wasn't that bad.

I hope we appeal for Euell's sending off, as he has played well the last few games.
We will definitely win the appeal IMO.

Relieved Wolves defender Richard Stearman has labelled Jason Euell’s sending-off tackle ‘late and dangerous’ but has been able to report for England under-21 duty.
Southampton midfielder Euell earned an instant red card, following the 43rd minute 50-50 challenge between the pair in Saturday’s 2-1 win for Wolves.
Stearman bears no malice towards Euell, but reckons he was fortunate to avoid serious injury.
The defender said: “Because I got there just before him, it was a late challenge as well as being a dangerous one.
“It looks bad on him and I’d need to see it again to see whether it was a sending off, but I was lucky not to be badly injured from it. He caught me just below my knee and you always feel when you have a bad tackle on you, that it’s serious.
“But thankfully, (head of medical department) Steve Kemp came on, did a few checks and I managed to run it off a few minutes before half-time and then it was assessed in the dressing room.
“Thankfully it was nothing too serious and I’m fit for international duty. If he’d smashed me from behind or I’d been badly injured, I’d have something to say, but it’s a man’s game, it was a 50-50 challenge. I’m not going to hold anything against him.”
“It’s part and parcel of the game. I like to go in hard myself, but I’m not going to berate the lad for it.”
Stearman also claimed he got a touch on the ball when Saints claimed a penalty, for his challenge on David McGoldrick.
The Wolves man said: “I actually got the ball. It may not have looked that evident from behind, but I managed to get a slight touch on it and he (McGoldrick) missed it.
“So I was just grateful that the ref saw the little touch, because their fans were getting on his back a bit for the sending off.”
Not sure he'll get it overturned, it did look dangerous from the TV replay.

I had a very good view from where I was sitting and clearly it was not a penalty. As you may know I was in the Itchen Centre block 9 for home supporters near the half way line.
The referee did very well despite being barracked and being under constant pressure from the Saints fans who were making ridiculous claims for pretty much every throw in, free kick, goal kick, pass back, side pass etc, etc, etc, a lot of referees would have given something for the torment.
