Did you see the flying pig's interview in the weekend papers? Was pretty grim reading; from top quality footballer to a bankrupt resigned to living out his days on disability benefit.  |

Not the best book ive read. Its difficult to have too much sympathy with a man who spent everything he has on drink and gambling.
Strangely for man who comes across as very money orientated he seemed happy to stick with £400 a week he earnt at Wednesday. He certainly should have been better advised with money and the injury/injections that cut his career short and if he was wouldnt have gone into the mess he did. He appears to be quite bitter that he missed out on big money of the Premiership retiring before the big money kicked in.
However he was treated badly and let down by many when he was arrested for the post office robbery and also by Ron Atkinson who wouldnt allow him to have his testimonial at Hillsboro just because he wouldnt resign for him after leaving Rangers and being shafted by Souness there.
His anicdotes arent up too much, Iain Hesford pooing on a plate and stabbing Paul Parker in the arse with a fork cos hes a bit of a nob and such stories arent really all that entertaining. The bloke needs the cash though so go and BUY IT ;D
