Swindon boss Maurice Malpas wants Simon Cox to take his excellent form into the new season, after the striker's 25-yard goal in a friendly with Fenerbahce.
It earned Swindon a 1-1 draw against the Champions League quarter-finalists.
"That's a goal you'd love to have during the season," Malpas told BBC Radio Swindon. "Fantastic touch over the guy's head and a volley.
"They've got their top-notch guys who can score them, but Coxy has matched them or bettered them on the night."
It was the striker's second goal in two pre-season games, and ensured that Swindon remained unbeaten on their Austrian tour.
Cox told BBC Radio Swindon: "It was one of those that sits perfectly and they go in one out of 10.
"It's a confidence thing for me and hopefully I'll keep it going into the season."
The Fenerbahce side, now coached by Spain's Euro 2008-winning coach Luis Aragones, included former Real Madrid star Roberto Carlos, a scorer of the odd wonder goal himself.
Former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman gave the Turks an early lead with a header, before Cox smashed that volley into the top corner just after the hour mark.
"I am delighted with the fitness of the players and the attitude they are showing," added Malpas.
"This tour is all about getting the lungs, legs and brains all into gear."
Swindon, who opened with a 2-2 draw against Steaua Bucharest, finish their tour with a match against FC Zlin on Tuesday night.
