Stockport 1-1 Accrington Defender Michael Welch salvaged a point for Accrington Stanley with a superb 35-yard shot 12 minutes from time to rescue a point for Accrington. Stockport opened the scoring on 12 minutes thanks to Glenn Murray's neat finish from an Adam Griffin cross.
Murray then shot wide following a Rob Clare knock-down, but Accrington also went close with Andrew Todd's header.
Substitute Sean Doherty could have won the game late on when he shot wide with County keeper James Spencer stranded.

If your a accy fan and it was hit by 45 yards Good attendance 5000+ Yep that is good but thats what we have been getting since Gannon took over, it should be a bigger gate when we play Derby on tuesday because Derby are bringing 2,000 down and most of the fans think we can do a bit of giant killing!!.

We will probably rest one or two first teamers after our solid start. Gives Ritchie a chance to look at the youngsters in a competitive game.

Home to Southampton today. A draw would suit me.
