Hereford United defender Richard Rose said after today's win at Accrington that the Bulls had been due a little bit of luck. The got it with Accrington's bizarre own goal.
He described what happened to BBC Hereford and Worcester:
"It was one of the most unfortunate goals I've seen since I've been playing.
"No one really knew what was going on. It was quite a strange situation.
"We'd seen the lino running down and flagging. We didn't know what he was flagging for. But obviously he couldn't have been flagging for anything else so we assumed it was a goal and the referee gave it. We'll take that one.
"The last two games we've conceded two goals and today we wanted to keep a clean sheet so we protected our lead and did the best we can to keep a clean sheet and we've done it. We really pleased."
John Trewick spoke to BBC Hereford and Worcester after this afternoon's 2-0 win for the Bulls At Accrington.
"I felt for the first half hour of the game we really played well, had numberous chances but we had to wait until just before half time (to score)," said the Hereford United coach.
"It was a great time to score and Gary's got another goal for us. Great run into the near post and a smart finish. Fully deserved the lead at half time.
"Bit fortuitous with the second goal. From what I'm told it didn't cross the line. I don't know but as far as the games goes it did cross the line because that's what the referee gave.
"If it didn't cross the line we're due a little bit of good fortune.
"I thought we got a little bit sloppy in the last five or ten minutes. But to be fair great credit to the lads. They've worked very hard in bad conditions because the rain came down and you can see the state of the pitch.
"A great win."
