Hereford 1-2 Lincoln Lincoln earned their first win of the season thanks to two first-half goals from veteran Mark Stallard. Hereford's Philip Gulliver and Andrew Williams went close early on, but Stallard put his side ahead with a powerful finish on 11 minutes.
Stallard doubled his side's lead on 29 minutes, applying a good finish to Jamie Forrester's cross.
Robert Purdie's penalty, after a foul on Tim Sills, gave Hereford hope but they could not force an equaliser.
