Has agreed to give failed asylum seekers free travel to attend immigration interviews.
Is it not bad enough that the unemployed get half price travel which in my mind makes no sense as they have no agenda so have the time to walk to their destination.
But giving people free travel who want to come and live here is a recipe for disaster, furthermore if they have no means to pay the fare they shouldn't be allowed in. As clearly they have nothing to offer the economy.
Keep up the good work Ken, Boris is 13 points ahead of you

We know exactly where one cow with mad-cow-disease is located among the millions and millions of cows in UK , but we haven't a clue as to where thousands of illegal immigrants and Terrorists are located. Maybe we should put the Department of Agriculture in charge of immigration.

The negatives are here for everyone to see at the moment at it's down to the miss management of the government! I would say the vast majority of the unemployed could find work with tthe exception of the physically and mentally disabled. Agreed I hate Ken!

Livingstone's multicultural vow
London mayor Ken Livingstone has vowed to put multiculturalism at the heart of his bid to be re-elected to office.
He said he would boost numbers of black and Asian police officers, promote cultural events and set diversity targets on boards he appoints.
He said ending multi-culturalism could mean a return to 1980s race riots.
Tory rival Boris Johnson accuses him of "divisive" politics while Lib Dem Brian Paddick has said the mayor "hijacks" minority groups for political purposes.
Launching his community relations manifesto on Tuesday, Mr Livingstone said his period in office had seen a 50% reduction in racist attacks and said London had some of the best community relations in the world.
"I regard one of my greatest achievements of my administration ... [as] the way it has pursued policies that have consciously promoted a culture of tolerance and respect - the policy of multiculturalism."
He said "constant effort" was required to "transform the make-up of every institution" that represents Londoners and to work with leaders of all the different groups in the city.
Black Cab trade
Mr Livingstone pledged to ensure the rights of all Londoners "to live their life as they wish, to have freedom of thought, religion, politics and culture" as long as they are tolerant of others.
He promised to continue reducing racist attacks, increasing the ethnic diversity of the police and to celebrate cultural events from New Year's Eve and St George's Day to the Notting Hill Carnival and Chinese New Year.
He also pledged to put out an annual report on the public sector in London's successes in "achieving a representative workforce" and "meeting the needs of all London's diverse communities".
And he said every board appointed by him would "increasingly fully reflect London's diversity" and set targets for every service they run to do the same. He would also continue efforts to improve ethnic diversity among teachers, in jobs like the Black Cab trade, and in private companies.
Multiculturalism row
He said his Conservative rival, Boris Johnson, had "an inadequate understanding of the questions involved in good community relations".
Mr Johnson has said the major issues like crime and transport affect all Londoners regardless of background. He has accused Mr Livingstone of concentrating on "politics of division rather uniting people."
And Lib Dem challenger Brian Paddick last week said some ethnic groups had lost faith in the mayor - especially in the Asian community who, he claimed, felt they had not had a fair deal from the London Development Agency.
A high-profile row over the role of multiculturalism in 2006 led Mr Livingstone to accuse race watchdog Trevor Phillips of "pandering to the right".
He suggested Mr Phillips, who said that the term multiculturalism implied "separateness" and should be dropped, had "gone so far over to the other side that I expect soon he'll be joining the BNP".
In a speech in 2006 the then PM Tony Blair said the 7 July bombings threw multiculturalism "into sharp relief" - although he said it should not be dispensed with.

An advocate of suicide bombing is among leaders of a group trying to mobilise Muslim voters to back Ken Livingstone, the Standard reveals today.
For the past year, the group has been working on a strategy to win an estimated 200,000 Muslim votes in an effort to re-elect the Mayor.
It includes a campaign of vilification aimed at his Conservative rival, Boris Johnson. It is being waged by Muslims 4 Ken, led by 39-year-old lecturer Anas Altikriti and Palestinian-born Azzam Tamimi, a supporter of Hamas, the militant group dedicated to the creation of an Islamic state of Palestine.
While Mr Altikriti says he abhors violence and favours dialogue to further the Muslim cause, Mr Tamimi has praised suicide bombers and said he would volunteer for a suicide mission in Palestine.
"For us Muslims martyrdom is not the end of things, but the beginning of the most wonderful of things," he has said. "If I can go to Palestine and sacrifice myself I would do it. Why not?"
Muslims 4 Ken moves into overdrive this week after months of lobbying for Mr Livingstone among Muslim community leaders, in mosques and among political organisations.
The Islamic alliance backing the Mayor is based in east London and has already drawn on wide support from the area's Bangladeshi community. Muslims 4 Ken grew from Mr Livingstone's links with activists and his generous sponsorship of Muslim causes. Mr Altikriti was instrumental in the Mayor's patronage of Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the Islamic cleric who was welcomed by Mr Livingstone to City Hall. The Mayor's critics believe his praise of Mr al-Qaradawi was part of a cynical plan to exploit the Muslim vote. Mr al-Qaradawi is banned from Britain over fears his presence may not be conducive to "security and peace".
The last two weeks of the election campaign will see a sustained attack on Mr Johnson based on claims that he is anti-Islam. Volunteers have been supplied with quotes from his journalism over the past 15 years in which he appears to be critical of Islam.
The quotes are deluging internet forums and form part of messages posted in texts and emails sent to exhort Muslims to vote for Mr Livingstone.

Livingstone is an easy target for the right wing press. He compromises himself by writing in the The Sun but if I still lived in London I would vote for him without hesitation. Multiculturalism and all its controversies are perfectly the ammunition required to attack him with whilst conveniently ignoring about 2000 years of similar processes, especially in London. It is about the only thing I actively miss about living there. In the meantime, the reality of actually making practical differences to the day to day running of a place (all he's really there for) get washed over.
Boris Johnson? Please......
