Get him in and you might start winning some matches! While your at it, give Villa Jon Stead......that should send them down pretty quick ;D jon stead is a better player than most give him credit for - he would make a better midfielder than a striker tho

I like Philips although I think now he'd be better off with you lot than at Villa Park. The thing is with this takeover, alot of players who did want to leave now want to try and work their way into O'Neill's plans. I personally don't see Philips figuring hugely, but if he's happy then he's always useful.

Kev was probably our best striker last season. I'm hoping JPA or Baros find their form this year or we might miss him if he goes

He played ok last season I agree, but he didn't find the net enough for me. It seems O'Neill has given him permission to talk to other teams with the Black Cats and the Baggies fighting it out so far. Surely out of those he won't go to WBA?

I reckon he must have wanted to stay in the area for a while unless something at Sunderland has put him off going back that is?
