Walsall teenager dies at training Walsall have announced that apprentice Anton Reid has died. The 16-year-old first-year youth team player collapsed during a training session on Monday at the University of Aston Training Ground. A Walsall statement read: "Players and staff have been left heartbroken by this terrible tragedy." As a mark of respect Tuesday night's Pontin's Holidays League fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers has been postponed. The flags at the League One club's Banks's Stadium are also flying at half-mast. Walsall's statement added: "Our thoughts and prayers are with Anton's parents, family and friends at this very sad time." Very sad whenever things like this happen - my thoughts go out to his family!

R.I.P - I know what you are going through at the moment. Heaven has two new stars, Ray Jones and Anton Reid.
