Billy Paynter and Simon Cox each scored twice as Swindon thrashed Gillingham. The visitors found themselves two goals down after just six minutes as defensive lapses let in Jon-Paul McGovern and Cox for soft goals.
Early in the second half Paynter burst through to shoot the third past the unprotected Royce.
Cox added a fourth from 12 yards with a firm header and with the Gillingham defence again in disarray Paynter went around Royce to complete the rout.
