Crewe 2-2 Northampton Crewe winger Ryan Lowe missed a great late chance to win the game for his side as they were held by Northampton. Lowe gave the hosts an early lead when he slammed in a brilliant 18-yard volley, only for Scott McGleish to level by converting Pedj Bojic's cross.
Midway through the first half Lowe crossed for David Vaughan to head in but Alex were pegged back again when Bojic passed for Andy Kirk to score.
Lowe then shot straight at Lee Harper as Crewe had to settle for a draw.
