Hull v Tranmere Hull are expected to hand Nick Barmby his first start at the KC Stadium since January, against Tranmere in the Carling Cup first round. They could be without David Livermore who is undergo an operation to have his broken nose reset.
Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore has major doubts over Gareth Taylor (hamstring) and Paul McLaren (heel).
Midfielder Danny Harrison is sidelined with a foot injury and Moore is still undecided on his selection.

Hull 2-1 Tranmere (aet) An extra-time goal from Darryl Duffy gave Hull a spot in the second round of the Carling Cup at the expense of Tranmere on Tuesday. Rovers took the lead when Shane Sherriff headed in from Kevin Ellison's looping corner.
Ben Burgess equalised in the second half when he was first to Ryan France's whipped ball.
Duffy grabbed the winner for Hull after smashing in a 25-yard strike after connecting with Jon Parkin's knockdown.
