Tycoon ponders Halifax takeover
Businessman Marc Rushton is considering a takeover bid for Halifax Town.
Rushton sold the Telewest and Regus group he set up for £1.5billion, and recently saw a bid to buy Batley Bulldogs Rugby League club collapse.
He told the Halifax Courier: "It's too early to be specific, but I've had meetings with chairman Geoff Ralph and will be at the match on Saturday.
"Everyone knows I'm on the look out for something local and on the face of it, there could be something there."
Wish it had happened to us, clearly, but good for the Shaymen. They've been through some rough times in the past.
