Beckham £71,719 thats an understatement cos he's on £50 million a year with everything else That's his wages though. The club don't pay his sponsorship deals etc, do they? That's why I didn't understand the fuss about his contract. It's not like the club are paying all of that, the vast majority comes from Adidas, Nike or whoever, and most top sports stars get that kind of deal  Just look at the likes of Tiger Woods! |

Taking the top earner, Kaka: Assume 1 game and 5 days' training per typical week, allowing the day after the game off to recover. Call it 3hrs for each (3hrs' training, 3hrs at the match from arrival to departure) is 6x3 = 18hrs a week. Kaka's on £143,438 a week. £143,438/18 = £7,968.78 an hour. His hourly rate is about what I earn in 6 months. What a fucking joke  |
