From the Mancheseter Evening News.....
City slash ticket prices
Chris Bailey
MANCHESTER City are making a dramatic pitch to attract more youngsters to their Premiership games by slashing ticket prices.
The Blues have halved the cost of taking children aged nine and under to their games, undercutting rivals United by £133.
In addition, the board have decided to reward their loyal 30,000-plus season ticket holders by freezing prices for the third year running.
The 2006/07 season will see the ground-breaking Blues launch a new pricing band aimed at the nine and unders, as well as implementing lower rates for the 10-15 and 16-17 age groups.
The move comes after City cut prices for youngsters to just £5 for recent FA Cup ties and the Premiership fixtures against Villa and Charlton.
The new pricing scheme means, for example, that a child in that age group can now enjoy a Seasoncard in the Family Stand for just £95, the equivalent of £5 per game, rather than at the existing Junior Seasoncard price of £180.
Also, for the first time, 18-21-year-olds will be able to take advantage of a lower rate of Seasoncard rather than being charged the full adult price
Good to see that at least some clubs are beginning to show a little foresight...

Wigan should be a bargain soon then. I was having good banter with some of their fans before they played us and they were positive that they may get 50 to turn up at the MadStad!
