Could someone please enlighten me as to why in the johnstone paint trophy the clubs have to field at least 6 first team players where as in the Carling cup the big teams with big squads can put out a side consisting of mostly reserves ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)

Because the little teams who take part don't usually have the luxury of a second team and playing the tea lady isn't on. Could someone please enlighten me as to why in the johnstone paint trophy the clubs have to field at least 6 first team players where as in the Carling cup the big teams with big squads can put out a side consisting of mostly reserves ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)
