Isn't sushi raw sea food? Rice and raw fish or vegetables. Some of it is cooked though you just have to go to a decent Sushi bar to find it.

Actch...sushi is vinegared rice. the topping is irrelevant. Sushi is just the rice if you wanna get technical. Then again watashi wa nihongo wo wakarimasu (Neko'll understand)

Just don't try it if you are an ex Russian spy. Lol! ;D Yeah, I quite like sushi - never eaten at a sushi bar, but the home-made stuff beats those packet lunch things any day

What about tuna and cucumber rolled sushi? It's literally seaweed, rice, cucumber and the tinned tuna you can get over here (and yes, it is an authentic Japanese dish - a lazy, more modern one, but authentic never the less) - would that appeal more? Sushi doesn't have to include sea urchin, squid and poisonous pufferfish, you know

Well, it mostly tastes of a slightly salty mix of tuna, cucumber and rice really! Never tried it in batter, so I'd have to get back to you on that
