Portsmouth have completed the signing of England striker David Nugent from Championship side Preston North End.
The two clubs reportedly agreed a £6m fee for the 22-year-old and he passed a medical and signed a four-year contract at Pompey on Wednesday.
"I am delighted to get him and I'll be even more delighted if he can get into double figures with his goals for us this season," said boss Harry Redknapp.
Nugent will be unveiled at a Fratton Park news conference at 1700 BST.

I agree
A lot of players moving from championship club have been way overpriced eg Kamara of West Brom
