Don't think GR has long left. Fat Freddy paying off yet another manager. Don't think they're in too mcuh trouble this season but once the rot sets in it's hard to shift!

Lol they just don't seem to ever progress no matter who they bring in! Shearer, Asprilla, Ginola, Kluivert, Owen, Luque, Duff, Martins.....they must seriously have spent the most money in the Premiership without having anything to show for it! My god.....talk about perenial underachievers!

Its alright having a good season mate but the history books will always read what honors they have won and i think that book is probably pretty dusty right about now..... Agree though with your comment. Spurs, Villa and even for a short period ourselves can share the same frustration.

I know what the books will say, but I know plenty of fans and they will remember Kevin Keegan bringing the good times back to the club, 5 - 0 wins over Man U, playing in Europe on a regular basis and vying for the title. Compared to where they were in say 1989, they've been spoilt. It's not all about silverware, nice as it is! I wish we'd had the same ride I can tell you, all we've had is one 3rd place finish, a couple of dull midtables and 3 resounding relegations.

The Geordie dream died loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong ago Where as yours never lived we won the league a lot about 100 years ago. We have money, a great chairman, the promise of many players to come in January, record breaking attendances for the league this season and a great team spirit and stadium, mackems are currently s lot happier than Geordies
