A new month, a new challenge! You can still post entries for September, but should the house system ever get up and running, they won't earn any points for your team (unless you can get them in within the next couple of days, in which case I'll allow a 'grace' period). As for this month... October Fic Challenge Theme: The Wild West So ride on 606ers, get off your horse and drink that milk

Ooh, Wild West eh? What are the chances of me developing my nihilistic realist dystopian nightmare into this next theme? Watch this space viewers, don't expect some cliché-laden tale of gunslingers and saloon bars! (well maybe the latter...)

Kudos to you if you can continue the tale ;D I've decided I'm at least gonna try to make Rave and maybe 2-4 others a regular feature among my stories - so the next one will hopefully introduce at least one more!

LOL there is an outside possibility of that in my mind! Or... something completely different?!

Fantastic ;D I've got an idea knocking around; just gotta develop it into something a little longer than it presently is, then find the time to write it

I doubt I'll be able to have any spare time this month, as it's all coursework and preparing for mocks unfortunately. But I shall see what I can do.

No worries if you can't get anything done, Han - coursework definitely comes first Of course, a drabble/vignette wouldn't go amiss either

Can I do some kind of prose or maybe a ballad (but no music )?

If you can work them into a story-esque format, it doesn't matter how you present it ;D The requirement is 'fiction', so a song telling a story would be valid! (See Tenacious D's 'Tribute' as an example )
