Ref: Robert Styles (Hampshire).
I'm sure you peopleperson are more than able to find a match review yourself. One that'll be better than one I can say anyhow:
news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/6941876.stm
Anyhow I'll put my input into the penalty decision, looking back at the replays I can see quite clearly Malouda isn't touched (he's French of course he's going to cheat!)
But if you were to look at the incident from another angle it would seem that Finnan barges into Malouda with enough force top knock him into the air and then fall.
But saying this I've no idea where the ref was making his call from.
My main talking point instead would be the way he dealt on the yellow cards. At one point in the match he appeared to show Essien two yellow cards.
To be fair to the ref he apologized to Liverpool for getting it wrong.
Finishing on a better note both teams played quite well, *is loving the attacking mentality of both teams*, I was particularly impressed by Liverpool who seem to have been able to settle into a stronger side.
And they all lived happily ever after, Apart from Man U.
