After an at-best mediocre performance in the World Cup, and blowing hot and cold since, Lampard still considers himself an elite player. He wants, so we read, at least 130,000 quid a week - and so does Terry. That would put them inline with Chavchenko's ultra-generous salary. So they're threatening to leave Chelski for greener pastures yet unnamed. IMHO, if I can offer a word of advice along the lines of the old ballad: "Let him go, let him tarry let him sink or let him swim He doesn't care for us and we don't care for him!" A player with the sulks is a drag on the team. And Abramovich won't be taken for a sucker

Wankard plays as a second striker alongside dogbath... and people still go on about the number of goals he scores from "midfield"! Let him go - watch the performances tail off!

Sorry Stan, diagree mate. Terry is worth his weight in gold. Just look at the facts. Ever since his injury they have suffered, they didn't before hand. Essien has had to play defence cos they have no cover and thats what they have lost, his energy and drive in midfield. Agree that Lampard is overrated but then again, how many goals has he scored yet again from midfield this season.....

I'm more critical of Lampard than of Terry. I think Terry is the mainspring of Chelsea's defence and is a consistent performer. On the other hand, mainly because of his inconsistency, I think Lampard is overrated ands worse, is beginning to believe the overly- favorable press he gets. Just my opinion..... And just to show my impartiality I think Drogba is the best footballer in the world, pound for pound or whatever criterion you apply. If anyone is worth 130K a week to Chelsea, it's him.

Did I mention anything about Terry... I agree - without him they're total shite! AND you managed to miss the point of what I was saying about Wankard.... yes, he does score a lot from "midfield" but that's no surprise when he plays, more or less, as an out and out striker...! Tit

Tit Well actually i was referring to what you said regarding Makelele but just brought Terry in to the comment to justify it but reading it back i should have made that more clear. Its Essien that fucked it all up because he's had to go in defence and fill in for the absence of Terry and they have lost his drive and energy in midfield from last season. I think you read too fast and quite clearly missed the laugh of pointing out the goals stat to you at the end, i wasn't being serious but you missed it....
