Standard of Refereeing in the Champo...

Now before i start this rant, in no way is this me blaming Refs for our predicament(though they have had a sizeable contribution in it).

The standard of Refereeing in the Championship is TERRIBLE IMO.
Today i had to sit through 90 minutes of ANOTHER SHOCKING REF, for the 2nd game in a row he was ABYSMAL.

Two decisions in particular stand out from today, Dexter Blackstock after scoring our equaliser was obviously delighted and celebrated with the fans... yet he was booked... why?!This "over celebrating" was him giving high 5's to the fans after scoring what could have been such a crucial goal in our season, as a fan that is just what i want to see from QPR players, showing passion and including fans in celebration, what do Refs expect Dexter to do, Pull a knife out of his shorts and slice off a finger of every fan who he gives a high 5.

Zoltan Gera, after scoring what could be one of WBA's most important goals of the season, is booked for "over celebrating".

Add to this the other terrible Refereeing decisions today and it makes for an ANGRY NIK!!

Now i'm not saying being a Ref is easy, i have Reffed at junior level to get my hours for a Sports Leadership Course in, but I just feel common sense is needed by Ref's, as at the moment i do not see much of that.

Now this is not just happening to QPR, it happens all around the Leagues, but nearly EVERY home game i go to Loftus Road and see a SHOCKING REF... it's disgraceful.

In the summer, the FA needs to do something about this, maybe fine them if they have a terrible game, because lets face it, if you constantly make wrong decisions in your job, you are fired, so Refs should at least be fined.

There was a shocking ref on Saturday, but not for us though, it was for Plymouth.

Now, I love winning, but when you send an opposition player off in the 1st minute having given nothing first of all, it's just terrible! After consulting with his linesman, he sent the player off having not even given a free kick (seemingly saying Walters had dived). Very poor.

And then there was a handball incident (I hear), where the ref was relying on the same linesman, who didn't give anything, Plymouth scored and he ruled it out.

We've been on the end of some very, very poor officials this season (Steve Bennett, moron, but that was the FA Cup. Potentially costing us a great deal of money...), and it was nice to be on the other side of it, but I don't like to see poor officiatting.

If you have a crucial match, someone gets a very poor decision then that's their chances blown.

We have had these decisions go against us so often this season, it really has not evened itself out... funilly enough one of the only decisions that have gone our way that we have made count was against plymouth
But even then we had a perfectly good goal disallowed and blatant peno not given

We have had a lot of this. We have had two incidents (one at QPR) of outright assaults on our keeper leading to goals (and he's only ickle). Random and inexplicable red cards, like Barry Hayles attempting to block a 'keepers kick from a foot and a half and getting a red for it hitting his hand...Oh well. maybe next year.

the standard is piss poor, im not even going to go into the facts and situations, but they havent been given for both sides and then they have, its inconsistent to say the least.

Again yesterday, BLACKSTOCK IS BOOKED FOR CELEBRATING WITH FANS... all he did was celebrate in front of our own fans!!
Bolder booked for kicking ball away when he kicked it as ref blew whistle!!

PNE denied defo penalty.. though i won't moan too much about that

Jesus the amount of penalties given against us for little stupid things is incredible! i think in 5 games we had 6 pens against us. Plymouth get 2 each game

We've had a lot of poor refs tbh... apparently we're the dirtiest team in the league... but then even the FA have admitted that 2 of our red cards this season have been wrong... these refs need punishing if the FA expects the standard of English football to reach the heights it once did
