Yeovil 0-0 Bournemouth Bournemouth dominated for long periods but settled for a point at Yeovil. The visitors should have gone ahead in the first minute, last season's top scorer James Hayter shooting across the face of the goal when in space.
And Stephen Cooke almost scored in the 40th minute only for goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall to scramble the ball away.
The Cherries' Danny Hollands hit the angle of post and crossbar in the second half, while Yeovil looked lucky to escape two penalty appeals.
