Desperate Cardiff City fans have pleaded with opposition fans to return the coins hurled at them throughout the season.
"We estimate over the past 18 months we have thrown over £100,000 in loose change at visiting supporters", claimed fans spokesman Denzil Mackintosh, "if they could return just half of that total it would really help us out right now".
Cardiff supporters will also be holding a sponsored coach window smash this weekend to raise money for the financially stricken club.
Cardiff are also considering introducing a new cashback service from their back four. From next weekend supporters can enter the field of play at appropriate times and any of the team's defenders, who will be playing with credit card authorisation machines strapped to their sides, will be able to hand out cash sums, with a maximum of £250 per fan.
A spokesman for FIFA boss Sepp Blatter said, "I don't know what Sepp thinks of this, but if it's got anything to do with cash I'm sure he'll be delighted".
;D
