Kevin Blackwell has seen a move to take Tottenham central defender Callum Davenport on loan blocked by Martin Jol. Championship promotion hopefuls Sheffield United have also asked about taking the former Coventry City man on loan last week whilst Leeds boss Blackwell was also interested. Blackwell made an approach to Jol about Davenport who has already had stints at West Ham, Southampton and Norwich City since signing for Spurs in August 2004.
He is yet to make an appearance for Spurs first team since returning to White Hart Lane in December from Carrow Road, but Jol has said that he needs Davenport for cover as Spurs push for a money spinning place in next seasons Champions League.

Would he go ahead of Killa (when fit) or Butts or just be cover?

I thought Killa was close to a return. So I'd imagine it would be as cover. I think Killa's learnt a lot playing alongside Butler - and they make a good central pairing!

Butler and Gregan are quite similar, and although I think Greegs has played really well since Killa has been out, Killa adds that extra little bit of pace which works well with Butler, who I think is better than Greegs. Looks as if we'renot getting Davenport anyway.
