Didier Agathe has secured an early release from his Celtic contract and is now free to find another club. Agathe moved to Glasgow in 2000 from Hibernian, after previously playing for Raith Rovers and Montpellier in France.
But the 30-year-old wing-back has made just four appearances as a substitute this season.
A Celtic spokesman said: "Didier has been a great servant to Celtic and everyone at the club wishes him all the best for the future."
Agathe was a regular under previous Celtic manager Martin O'Neill and made 181 appearances, scoring 11 goals.
He scored in the Champions League qualifier against Ajax in Amsterdam in August 2001 to help Celtic reach the group stages for the first time.
And Agathe played in the Uefa Cup final defeat by Porto in 2003.
But a groin injury hampered his hopes of impressing Gordon Strachan, who replaced O'Neill in the summer, and on his return to fitness, Agathe could not find a way back into the side.
Middlesbrough had the player on trial last month, while Leeds had asked to take him on loan.
Thoughts?

He was good in the past but his form and condition has dropped dramaticly and he is just a foreigner who cares for one thing...........himself.
I think we shouldn't bother unless we can get him in till the end of the season on some sort of short term deal on very small wages.

Why would we need a wingback...?
Would rather make a quality signing and have to wait till summer than a crap one now I spose..
What is KB doing?!

Well whoever we get will be a loan signing so that gives us the opportunity to get a premiership player in who is out of the cold at his club.
I wonder if we could try and get Matteo back?
We have been rumured to be after Davenport on loan who was at Norwich and id be well pleased with that.

Agathe out of middleborough and Leeds will choose Leeds. Both clubs will offer around the same wages - and Agathe has to gamble on a club on the up again pushing for a place in the premiership, or a team struggling at the foot in need of a miracle.
I know which i'd go for.
