Who'da thunk it, eh? ;D Came at the best possible time for our players too - £150,000 for the TV rights alone, and the administrators reckon that through one-off sponsorship deals etc, they can make that into a seven-digit figure (after all, this game's getting prime TV coverage). The players have been told that at least some of the money from this match will go toward their wages, so hopefully they'll get some money before Christmas Bet Sky are dead pleased too - this match has got 'romance of the cup' written all over it! Lowly Luton, in administration, points deduction, FA investigation underway because of the actions of a corrupt board, players unpaid; a team with their collective backs to the wall and struggling just to survive right now. They made a good fight of it two years ago, but this is a far weaker squad - surely they haven't got a chance, even for a second? "But what if...?" (Just to clarify, I fully expect Liverpool to brush us aside if they field anything even close to a full-strength team - but there's always that faint glimmer of a chance...)

I hope you knock them out and make loads of money m8 Be utterly fantastic if we did; we need every penny we can get right now, and a cup run would help that immensely. A replay'd be useful too, of course, and probably do the other Premiership clubs a favour too

Just heard a couple of things - firstly, after the Forest game, KB said to the interviewer that it was nice that we'd won, because now the players can afford a turkey for Christmas. I don't doubt that either - some of the younger guys in particular earn very little, and they've not been paid for 6 weeks - the older players have had to lend them money. It sort of puts into perspective how hard this is for some of them, and how good they are for accepting wage deferrals Secondly, word on the grapevine is that some of the Liverpool players have decided to donate some of their wages to the Luton players. Round of applause for them if they are

Thanks gt I daresay we'll get an absolute tonking now, especially with Coyne and Robinson presumably banned after their red cards at Bristol today, but it's one of those matches we desperately needed!

In a way I'd have liked to have seen them back at the City Ground but in a year when both Leicerster and Leeds have beaten us at home for the first time since the 1980s I wouldn't have fancied Liverpool doing the same!
Good luck, I'll be rooting for you, can not stand them!
