Amazingly, there's word going round that several parties have expressed an interest in buying Luton! Allegedly, those in the running include, "An ex-chairman" (Watson-Challis, maybe? Surely not Guerney or Kohler?! ) and Joe Kinnear! WC could do well for us; he owns the land at Junction 10 and wants to build the stadium on it. Kinnear doubtless has fond memories of the club prior to Guerney's arrival too (and even then, the fans supported him when he got sacked), and would probably see it as a means of staying in football without entering management again. Also, his experience as a manager means he knows what goes on on that side of things and what problems interference can cause, which would be beneficial. Both valid options, one hopes! Maybe it's not all doom and despair just yet!

Players have agreed to defer their wages for this month. Apparently some of them have taken it very hard (the younger guys especially won't be on a lot, and it's the Christmas shopping period ), but they've acknowledged it's for the club's future. Apparently, our monthly wage bill is somewhere around £450k, which is frankly insane for a club of our size and this league - it's no wonder we're haemorraging cash! Stupid bloody ex-directors Here's hoping they get paid soon Apparently, there's a stipulation with the PFA that if players don't get paid for two weeks, they can walk out as free agents - but if we beat Notts when we play them, we've got Liverpool in the FA Cup again. How many players would want to walk away from a game that size, especially when - as football creditors - they'll get their money one way or another anyway?

if they're paid as much as that a week then they should be okay for xmas...unless they plan on buying their loved ones a porche or something like that...looks like Coventry following suit too
