From the O/S:
This has been pulled apart quite spectacularly on BBC 606, and with good reason.
It's also worth noting he says that the team now have the same 'whatever' attitude as when we went down - given the amount of new players he's brought in, whose fault is that?
Blackwell, you are on very thin ice - even those who were saying you should be given more time are beginning to turn on you. SORT IT OUT!
Manager Kevin Blackwell could not disguise his anger at what he called a disgrace and said that some players will have to leave the Club.
"I'm a bit flabbergasted to be honest. I gave some lads a chance to impress people and for 55 to 60 minutes we were thoroughly comfortable.
"But that is a disgraceful way to lose a game in my opinion. And what that means now is that I will put six or seven on the transfer list in the morning. I've seen enough of the players at Luton Town. I'm not happy with what I've seen.
"The will and the desire is not there and it's no good looking back and saying to people well we had it with Howard and people - they've all gone. The opportunity was there for people to grab and they haven't grabbed it. Now I've given them 15 or 16 games and I'm not happy with what I've seen. It's the same old faces and five or six got a chance tonight. I can't rely on them so if I can't rely on them they can't play for Luton.
"There's a malaise in this football club - an arrogance where people think that they can just go out and play and pay no respect to the opposition. That was a game to finish off and kill off at 3-1. It was there. It was done and dusted.
"I said at half time that if you get another one you'll get five but if they score it will be a battle. They've just been beaten 5-0 so the team was warned that they wouldn't just lay down and die and they didn't.
"That's been the problem at Luton and that's why they got relegated last season. I'm well aware of that. But to change it means changing about 15 or 16 players and that's not going to happen. It can't happen for financial reasons. But that's exactly what needs to happen.
"It's difficult to pick anybody out who did well in the last 20 minutes. It's a collective thing. a team wins together and they lose together. And clearly I'm the manager so I take responsibility for that.
"But when you put a team out and they're playing well and winning comfortably after 65 minutes, there's very little you can do from the bench after that.
"So I'm bitterly disappointed but that will cost people jobs and livelihoods, but it won't be me and my staff, it will be some of the players.
"It was a comedy of errors at the end, but it should never have got to that point. So sometimes players have got to stand up. Tonight they've got to take the brickbats. The last 20 minutes was a disgrace. That isn't good enough at any level and it's not good enough for Luton Town, that's for sure.
"About the only good thing was that Paul Furlong scored two more. What more can a kid do? If I was Paul Furlong, I'd have gone in there and I'd have grabbed a few people by the throat because they let him down. At 39 he's the top goalscorer with eight. What a credit. Paul Furlong's been scoring goals for a long, long time but you look at his attitude and the will to win's still there and that's why he's still scoring and causing people all sorts of problems.
"The youngsters playing with him - and there's quite a few - they should be inspired by him. So it means they haven't got the character to take the club forward so that means I've got to change them.
"I'll be meeting the Chairman tomorrow and we'll be having a chat about it. I've got to make major changes at the football club. I've known that for a while, but it's difficult to change 15 or 16 people at one go. It can destroy a club, so I've got to be careful how I do it."

So that'll be the youth out and more oldies in then, Kev?

I'd lay good money that it won't be any of the players he signed [being sent out]. That would be tantamount to admitting some responsibility for the current shambles, and Badgie certainly won't be doing that any time soon.
It will be interesting to see who makes the list? Maybe the players will form a orderly queue outside his office asking to go.
As Blackwell claimed that there was 6 or 7 last night that just didn't cut the mustard and that he's unlikely to get rid of his own buys does that mean the others last night are on their way out? Brill, Emanuel, Brkovic, O'Leary, Spring, Andrew and Talbot. They equal 7? What is he doing to our club? And do the board see it happening?
Hands up if you think KB now regrets what he said last night?
The team that let him / us down last night comprised a lot of players he bought in so to admit they are not up to it will be difficult for him to admit (particularly to his Chairman).
[...]If he really had "lost the dressing room" this will not help. I'm not sure how the squad will react if they think he wants to get rid of them. If he doesn't now go and get rid of a large number of the squad, he will look weak and ineffective.
It's also like admitting on Ebay that something you are selling is defective.
I can't see how he has talked up their potential value to any other clubs.
