Leeds have agreed a £700,000 fee for Luton captain Kevin Nicholls, who will now discuss personal terms at Elland Road and undergo a medical. The 27-year-old midfielder has also been linked with Championship rivals Stoke, Crystal Palace and Norwich. Leeds did have bids for Nicholls and Luton striker Steve Howard - who has since joined Derby - rejected by the Hatters earlier this month. However, Nicholls could now become the Yorkshire side's third summer signing. Source: BBC Well... shit...

On Leeds Official Website, looks like he'll be joining us...... what kind of midfielder is he, defensive, attacking or an all rounder?

Sounds a bit of a bargain for 700k then..... Doesn't sound too good for your team at the moment though! Whats going to happen to all the money, going on new players or is it disappearing into the boards pocket?

Whats going to happen to all the money, going on new players or is it disappearing into the boards pocket? Well, in the last 12 months, we've gotten £4.7m in transfer fees, and I'll be amazed if Newell sees even £600k of that. I'm gonna have to revise my prediction for us finishing 10th-13th at this rate...

Those 6 points we're gonna get will go some way toward making up for it~! The way things are going, it may well be 6pts through the whole season... Okay, it's not that dire, but you know what I mean...

So Neko, with Howard somehow going for a mill to Derby, Nicholls to Leeds for £750,000, Edwards to us maybe, and now Foley to West Ham possibly, how do you think your season will bear up ... I just love times like this

I just love times like this I knew you'd be along sooner or later Definitely revising my prediction for the season. I'll go with 16th-18th at this rate - we won't be embroiled in the relegation scrap, but it'll be squeaky bums throughout the season, methinks. That said, if we hold on to Edwards and Foley (or the board actually GIVE NEWELL SOME BLOODY MONEY!!! ) I'll bump us up a little further. Certainly only aiming for survival though!

Don't honestly think we'll be going down, but like I said, squeaky bums. I don't know if Mike got any of the Davies transfer fee - as I've said to people before, we've gotten at least £4.7m from player sales in the last 12 months, and if Mike even gets £600k of that, I'll be amazed. We can't be a successful club if the bloody board don't invest at least some money back into the squad!

How typical is that! We get a new player we're all pleased as punch to get and our sodding big clumsy oaf of a defender falls on him and puts him out for what looks a long time!
He didnt have much of a bad injury record at yours did he Neko?

Not that I recall, no - he was out toward the end of last season, but that was his ankle, if I recall correctly, whereas I've heard it's his knee he's done in at your place? He did pick up a couple of injuries/niggles here and there, but then he's a hard-working, hard-tackling player, so he was bound to. Certainly nothing that particularly concerned me while he was here! (Unlike, say, Coyney and his knee )
