I would imagine most of you have seen the pictures on your official website.
Your pitch is literally underwater.
Obviously in the grand scheme of things not all that important when people have lost their lives. But nevertheless, a bit of a problem for the club.
Apparently your pitch had only just been relaid and was looking very good, but I suppose it will probably have to be dug up again now. Also your dressing rooms, boardroom and kitchens are wrecked and your new kit is underwater in the club shop. One of your directors thinks you'll be struggling to get the pitch, stadium etc ready for the new season.
Must admit I'm surprised that Hillsborough has been so badly affected, and yet Bramall Lane appears to have escaped unscathed.

Although the pitch is several feet underwater at the moment I would imagine that part of it is the easiest (or perhaps least difficult is a better way of putting it!) bit to clear up. The damage to the changing rooms etc may be hard to put right quickly. And I would guess that might be their biggest headache.
But as you say, it is very bad luck and I wouldn't wish it on anyone - not even Sheffield Wednesday!

I also saw that Rotherham got hit, but Bramall Lane survived, that is lucky, as I am aware that the majority of Sheffield has been hit massively by the floods.

I don't know how Bramall Lane has survived to be honest. There but for the grace of God I suppose.

They should freeze it and have an ice rink. Surely you don't really need 2 clubs in Sheffield you could all support United and then ice skate at Hillborough!
