Well done to the Blades they deserved it .Might be a Pyrrhic victory for you guys but for us its a body blow. Another late goal. ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) Our squad is paper thin. No King no Foster & no Young tonight.Three of our top performers.Plus Bouazza. Plus Powell & Mahon are out for the Manchester City game. We're in real trouble now. Its hard to keep getting up for games minus your most dangerous spearhead. January we need 3-4 loan signings. If we can afford it. Bloody hell trust Webber to hurt us.AB needs to show more confidence in Priskin. That cant help putting a centre half ahead of a centre forward. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) Got to get points from Eastlands. Must keep in touch for January. Mind you as GB KH HC RC will concur. This is a bonus for us. A year ago ..... ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png)

A bad offside decision, but nothing more than The Blades deserved. A poor game but the best side on the night won, and i dont think any Watford fan can disagree with that! ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

But we still wouldn't have had it any other way. And seeing the mess Leeds are still in I don't know you would have done any better. But its still put us on a decent financial footing. Even AB is facing up to reality. Its a bit of bad luck but again a lack of nowse & quality when our squad is so so thin. Theres a lack of belief in some of the players out there tonight. Maybe we ought to have signed a couple more players in the summer but coming off the playoffs they were fewer fish to catch. And of course there are price limits for us. Everton -1 Portsmouth -1 Bolton -1 Fulham -2 WHU -2 pts definitely dropped. Warnock needs to grow up a bit there regarding the towels. It hardly makes much difference. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Never got started. The fact their goal was offside and we should've had a penalty in the last minutes does rub it in a bit though.

Thing that worries me is that we don't look comfortable on the ball, a few players froze out there tonight, in a big game for us.

Twas the pressure GB. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) They couldn't handle it when there was something to lose. We're missing our 3 top performers. We didn't deserve anything utterly dreadful. Read the words of Clough below players lose you matches not our messiah . Always look on the brightside of life ! Luton lost again.

You look quite thin on the ground and tbh, you could have done worse than sign some players of us (the good ones anyway) and other clubs that couldn't keep hold of their players Premiership bound. I just think Boothyroyd was a tad overconfident in thinking what he had would be ok. Failing that, he might have thought he didnt want to go mad incase you did go down and whoever he bought wouldn't disrupt the team spirit and leave. I dunno really....either way, see you next season i guess ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

You 're probably right Lee. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) You're got enough to stay up despite tonights result.I see one of our old boys scored GNW. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) AB must have known the squad was thin. But theres nothing he could do with the finances available & plan handed to him. I've just been listening to some fellow Hornets. All absolutely level headed except for on. Must be a band waggoner he was attacking AB ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png) . Hi mate.
AB's doing the best he can with whats available, can't ask much more.
8 defeats you say? ;D
------------------------------------------------------------------ Boothroyd: No complaints
Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd admitted his side were second best in Tuesday's 1-0 home loss to Sheffield United. The Blades grabbed a controversial late winner at Vicarage Road, when Danny Webber scored despite replays showing he was clearly offside.
But Boothroyd, who also saw veteran defender Chris Powell sent-off in the dying moments of the match, told the club website: "Our players weren't at their best. Unfortunately, we didn't do what we normally do for long periods, we didn't play in the Watford way, we didn't get in their faces, and we didn't compete. "The goal was miles offside but I can't complain. I asked for a performance from the crowd and I got that but I didn't get it from my players tonight. It's a blow but I wouldn't write us off just yet.
The Hornets missed the spark of injured pair Marlon King and Ashley Young, the latter a late withdrawal after feeling unwell. Boothroyd added: "We don't have the biggest squad but I'm always careful not to blame officials or use injuries as an excuse. Everyone gets injuries and suspensions, we all know officials make mistakes but we're not going to hide behind that tonight."
Interview with Aidy last night.
