Anybody got any tips for the Grand National?
Quite fancy Clan Royal myself, was unlucky to get run out by a loose horse last year. Surely McCoy has got to win the National eventually!!!

You're not wrong there, bit of a lottery but over the last 10 years the better horses do seem to win. A lot depends on the ground, if it is good then that is better for the good horses. But if we have loads of rain and the ground goes soft then that tends to even things up a bit!!!

Hi Youngie! Despite the weight, Hedgehunter looks a good thing. I agree that Clan Royal is also in with a shout - v unlucky last year. So is Numbersixvalverde. I like to go for 3 or 4 incl a couple of outsiders, Joes Edge and Inca Trial are possibles.
Will wait to see what the wether has in store first

I won it a couple of years ago when i picked Amberleigh House and won nearly 45 quid i think for that......but in general my horses are usually out by the time they have done 5 fences!

Alright JJ!!!
Joes Edge is an out and out stayer so will have a cracking chance at what should be a fairly good price!!
I agree about Hedgehunter though ran a great race in the Gold Cup at Cheltenham and that must stand him in good stead.
I am the same, end up having big bets on couple I really fancy then pick 3 or 4 outsiders for a little bet on!!

That is a bastard when that happens!!! That is why I always pick a few because you can guarantee a few fallers. Once they get past the first few fences though most horses get into their stride and do ok. But they like the clappers at those first few!!!

ive had Numbersixvalverde and my each way bet is It Takes Time
My missus has had Jack High and each way on Garvivvonian
Have had a tip today from a pal of mine though, that Innox is gonna be backed very heavily towards the weekend so get on it early! Too late for me!
Im normally there or there abouts, and won last time round, but feel Hedgehunter is too short odds, and carrying too much weight!

Good man! Only thing that puts me off both Hedgehunter and Clan Royal is the price - about 5/1. No value at all!
Joes Edge is about 20's at the mo. An excellent e/w bet IMO

Yeah Innox is a funny horse been very inconsistent in the past but has ran into some real good form in it's last two races, and if it can hold it together has a good chance.

An excellent e/w bet IMO Agree with you about the price, too skinny but I will still have a bet and look to double them up with something in another race. My Way the Solzen runs on Saturday at Aintree and has a cracking chance!! Won for me big at Cheltenham!!

Isnt it usually Irish horses that win? I think ill have a look and see if there is anything that fits in with Leeds, playoffs or stuff with me in general.....and then cross my fingers and hope for the best.

Not too sure about the Irish horses but I think you have probably got the best idea Hulse!!! I usually close my eyes as well!!!
A cuople of other horses to look out for are Black Jack Ketchum and Fondmort on the Friday. Both ran great races at Cheltenham and are looking like reproducing at Aintree.

clan royal myself, with dun doire e/w! should have a very good tip later this week, will let ye know Hope you share the tip eoin. Its usually a fancied horse that wins and they only put weight on good horse. Its trying to find that long shot that usually ends up in the top four for a good ew bet.
