a little. you're idea of student life does see to come from the 60s or 70s mind...... my dad used to get a grant to go to University of £5,000 A YEAR ...... i get no grants and am only excused from paying taxes and the only tax i "should" be paying is council tax which is 3 times cheaper than tutition fees!

Fair point, taken, but what about these loans or bursaries or whatever they are that are left completely unpaid until earning £15k. And Student discount cards. They're irritating too...

They're irritating too... the loan is a rip off! - i had one first time at uni; over two years i was given just over £6,000 pounds then dropped out, a year later which was the last time i saw a statement from the loans company the debit was £8,000. i hate to think how high it is now i have no student loan this time round - not worth it! i get no bursaries! I HAVE A RAIL CARD - WooOOooOOo!! ..... runs out in september

But if you don't have to pay back until £15k, if you don't earn £15k, you don't pay it back, surely?
