I am an avid reader and would like to have a book thread pinned somewhere so we can discuss recent books we have read and our favourite books

They are not books! Are they cabbages? Illiterate peasants

I could go for a book thread, definitely! Particularly for the discussion - recommendations are usually the only way I get wind of new/interesting/uncommon books these days, so this would definitely be worth it for me.

Books are cool Hurlock, I dont really have a particular genre but I have a lot of favourite authors. Tiffie may know some better than you as a lot are American and not so well known. Bret Easton Ellis Carl Hiaasen Thomas Harris There is loads more but I have to dash I am late for work!

Brett Easton Ellis is imo extremely well known... but maybe I just mean "well known to me and my intellectual indie-kid mates..." Pretty certain I've heard of the other two as well, but can't think offhand what they did. Tis a fine idea though Arns... we shall, nay must have a book thread!

Well basically its a detective thriller type thing.
With our hero - the detective- after a wealthy interior designer who is marrying and then bumping off a succession of rich husbands.
A bit of a no-brainer really , but a good page turning holiday read.
First of his I have read.
Quite like Colin Forbes.
Favourite book is Jig by Campbell Armstrong.

Sounds like I've seen the movie lol! Not in a harsh way... I've often said things like "my favourite books include works by Sartre, Marquez and Asterix" ;D

I tend to a 'holiday reader' and usually get through 3 or 4 whilst lying by the pool.

(maybe we need a thread for this too!) I think holidays are about going somewhere interesting, and seeing things... maybe that's travel, not holidays... I know it's a bit arsey but I guess I'm just not relaxed enough a character to go abroad and just sit by a pool reading and waiting to change colour... No offence to anyone mind.
