I was watching Match of the Day last night and had so much admiration for Chasetown, they put on a damn good show and at the end were delighted and celebrating like they had got through to the 4th round!
So they lost 3-1 but appears like they never gave up and fought to the end, but thats when the experience of a Championship side showed.
On the other side I sat and was bored stiff by Man Utd v Villa, who looked like it "was just another game" and couldn't be faffed.
For me, seeing Chasetown celebrating like they did, is what the FA Cup is all about and good on them!!!

Exactly AC! Well done to them! They may've lost, but at least they enjoyed themselves! Watching MOTD last night though, I couldn't help coming back feeling even more proud after what the pundits said about our performance against Portsmouth.

and i think its a disgrace that teams dont put out their full strength teams, ie Bolton, Blackburn, and others, it just devalues the whole competition

That was not a sending off I agree, a booking would have been fair, mind the Pompey player threw himself in the air as if he had grown wings!!!

LOL..........yeah but yours is dont to injuries mainly. Lots of prem teams went out yesterday cos they fielded weaker teams, whilst this is good for the lower league teams it also devalues their accomplishment and the FA Cup

In fact, Trotter said the ref had told him he was going to give him a yellow! Apparently it was the fourth official that intervened. Anyway. The 10 men in blue filled every Town fan at Portman Road with great pride for their spirit. And heck, had it not been for James, well, we might've been in the hat tomorrow.

one more thing........when these teams do this it also short changes the fans. They all love a cup run and they are the ones paying their hard earned cash to watch mediocrity

Yep when you watch MOTD the pundits rightly pointed out that he went to get the yellow out of his fside pocket, then he touched his ear piece, came back, went to the back pocket and brandished the red. Someone must have said something in his ear piece that was obvious. Lee Dixon was on about fielding weaker strength teams on MOTD too, he didn't agree with teams doing that either.

The officials yesterday were shocking. According to another Town fan on here, who watched it on TV, Jim said to either the fourth official or the linesman; "You're f***ing rubbish"

Just watching Burnley v Arsenal, even though Arsenal are 1 up, Burnley are doing fairly well - another Premiership team with a 2nd team out though
