Just on the Laws point here are his stats whilst he was in charge at Hillsborough
Laws was in charge for 154 matches at Hillsborough, winning 52, drawing 42 and losing 60.
Not exactly convincing is it?

Not exactly convincing is it? I suppose GB Makes a good point on the other thread though - he is used to working with not much money and I suppose the Burnley players are of slightly higher quality than Wednesday (no offence meant Mrs H )

Right can someone explain this to me please? Bryan Laws took Wednesday to the relegation zone this season in the Championship - and yet Burnley think he is the man to keep them in the Premier League Wednesday has no wage bill, no transfer budget, a lying chairman and fans that expect too much..... .... as such he did a very good job just to get them mid-table for a couple of years.

Burnley commissioned a survey from Deloitte who found Laws the top Championship manager 2006-2009 for "best results relative to budget". You asked - I explained. But the team didn't want to play for him. That has nothing to do with what we are talking about here. Just on the Laws point here are his stats whilst he was in charge at Hillsborough Laws was in charge for 154 matches at Hillsborough, winning 52, drawing 42 and losing 60. Not exactly convincing is it? This goes back to my original post. Whether it's modern thinking or just madness on Burnley's part - who knows!

If they had a resurrected Brian Clough they'd still be going nowhere

so less than we spent on David Cotterill...... HA..................they saw you coming! or Henderson or Evans or Beattie .... essentially Wednesday Transfer policy is to operate like a League 2 team; Free Transfers and Nominally Fees, but they expect to push forward in the League... Some. How?
