In truth, I think the defeat will help us. For one, we didn't have quite a few first-teamers on the pitch, and for another, it should guard against complacency. It's not gonna be easy, and they've now seen it.

Word is that Steve Basham is set to sign for us very soon. Not the most prolific goalscorer, but he's experienced at this level, and I'm sure Mick can get the best out of him - Howard wasn't exactly a prolific goalscorer before Luton, after all Waiting for official confirmation, but we'll see. Still waiting for GK-related news!

If Basham's signing is confirmed, and we can get a back-up 'keeper, that should just about be enough

Basham signing confirmed on OS, though there's no other details at the moment.

Goalkeeper Shane Gore has been signed on a one-month contract ( ) today, providing back-up for Tyler at least early in the season. Not quite sure why it's only one month, unless Mick's waiting to see more of him in training before committing to anything longer-term (or has better lined up?), but it's cover never the less!

Have signed Fred Murray, who was released from Grays Athletic, having only recently signed for them. Not entirely sure what to make of that, but having seen him play today, we done well out of it
