Oh dear! The warning signs were there against Scotland, why don't we ever learn? The fielding was well below par, how many times did we miss the stumps from close up? Why bat Key so low down the order? No Mascheranas? Why not? Surely his power hitting down the order suits the Twenty20 format. Oh and why such weak opponents in the warm ups? Collingwood is not captain material either! Thats my rant over for now. So my Sweepstake team get off to a winning start, great!

We had it coming: 1. Why no Dimi or Napier? Both are big-hitters, Dimi proven at international level. Also, Dimi's bowling has proved to be incredibly useful at international level. But, by having a big-hitter coming in, rather than Collingwood, Shah, etc. England could've upped the run-rate and posted 180+. To lose after setting a 100 partnership must be a complete kick in the teeth for Ravi and Luke Wright! 2. England's fielding. Surely, surely, England could've learnt from their mistake at the Oval last year against the Kiwis? 2 to win off the last ball, you always have to have someone backing up! It's a basic fielding thing, it's taught to kids in Kwik Cricket, and yet all that went missing. England also had numerous chances. There was a difficult one on the boundary, can't remember who by, but that went in and out of the hands. There were the numerous times England missed the stumps. Yes, it's a high pressure situation, but these guys are paid to do this - surely one of them can find the stumps. 3. Number two can be linked to number three. Stuart Broad. His last over was alright, but some of his fielding was abysmal. Also, his economy rate (8 i.e. 32/4) was worse than the other two fast bowlers, SiBo and Anderson. Yes, Broady is a major talent, but he was the one who was smashed for six sixes by Yuvraj Singh last time out. His tactic of bowling outside the off-stump worked against Scotland. But not tonight, and it won't work against the "big teams". They'll just smash it away for boundaries. 4. England underestimated Holland. Luke Wright believed we had enough. You can never have enough in Twenty20. And England know some of the players. Foster & Bopara play with ten Doeschate. Shah & Morgan play with Nannes! Essentially, we should've seen this coming after the dross served up on Tuesday against Scotland. England think they don't have to turn up to beat a "minnow" nation. I hope this gives them a massive kick up the arse because if it doesn't, I'm (and I'm sure many other fans are) very willing to do so. However. Credit must go to Holland, they believed they could do it and played really well! They hit more sixes than England (which wasn't hard.) and were looking for a single every ball.

Cant believe Rob Key was moved down the order when he opens all the time for Kent. Napier and Mascheranas should have been in, England are always to conservative in there team selection.
