I doubt it Gres,the book is all words on pages while the film utilises the medium of moving pictures.

Aye Up Gres. Hey Chopper accident you ok bud ?? For me it is actually far better than the book and has a lot more nostalgia about the Derby days far more in fact than the 44 days at Leeds. Jim Broadbent as Sam Longson is awesome mate,some facts are a bit wrong too but hey films tend to do that.

Saw it Friday night, a decent watch, nothing more. really? What was wrong with it Tom? Nothing majorly, just a few niggling things. Sheen didn't always come across that convincing and it only really shared a title with the book, it was much lighter in tone (which may actually be a good thing!). I still enjoyed it don't get me wrong and the supporting cast were excellent particularly Colm Meaney as Revie.

I still enjoyed it don't get me wrong and the supporting cast were excellent particularly Colm Meaney as Revie. i think it would have been an impossible job to get the feeling of the book across, and also to do be a convincing Cloughie - he's probably done as well as could be done to be fair.
