170 different cover versions seemingly! dont like leonard cohen then saw him in june, did a brillant version of hallelujah, reclaimed it as his own, no other version will beat it! I'm not keen ....... the man has the ability suck the joy from life in the form of song!!

Even by 'X Factor' standards, it's an offensively bad cover.........maybe Leonard Cohen could cover Girls Aloud's 'Love Machine' as an act of reprisal?

Having now heard the x-factor cover, i say heard they played about a minute of it during half time at bramall lane, before less than half the way through ripping it off and putting "killing in the name of" by RAtM on (how cool are Sheffield United ).... ...anyway that minute or so was enough. They've clearly misinterpreted the nature of the song and therefore the cover is shite! Furthermore i'd suggest the quality and ability to sing a song with the lyrics "She tied you to a kitchen chair, She broke your throne..." is in-part dictated by the character of the vocalist ..... i'm of the understanding x-factor winners are not allowed to have character.
