From standing for the new Moderator positions, there already exists a large contingent within the existing management team.
So purely in the interests of balance, and fairness as after all this is a football message board.
These candidates should do the Honorable thing and step down, as they are already represented!

It would improve my chances of becoming a moderator, but i don't agree with this, i do agree we need more of a representation from other fans on here, however when i cast my vote, i won't be taking into consideration what team the candidate supports.

Its not about representation imo. A mod shouldn't just be sticking up for the members of his own team but needs to look after the whole board.
Travis for instance would do it well in my opinion because he talks to people from all across the board. Some Leeds fans who never leave that sub-board wouldn't. Its not who you support but whether you are suitable for the job in my eyes.

Good to hear this POG. I think it'd be a bit sad if people just voted en bloc for whichever candidate is behind their team - but in fairness Staff have already tried to move to discourage this as much as possible.

I'm just trying to clear an easier way for my man Jules................. Your efforts are appreciated Hurls... but in a democracy, people can make decisions on whatever basis they choose... whether because they like the cut of someone's jib, or simply because they've got the right banner over their head.

I like Trav ...... but think club loyalties do play a part for people. particularly in votes and when someone is new on here ..... then they immediately gravitate towards supporters of their own club. Trav also purports to be a TV and Film buff, and to have great love for both of those media. However Trav pitched the original idea for 'The Phantom Menace' to George Lucas ......... and it was terrible. He also ensure that 'Songs of Praise' still remains in our TV schedules, and 'Heartbeat' for that matter as well. The fact you have to pay a TV license is also another Trav-esty, it's all his fault you effectively have to pay a TV tax. He ensured that 'Titanic' won all those Oscars, shot Lassie and ensured that 'Free Willy' was less interesting than it initally sounded!! Is this the kind of man you want in charge ......... ask yourself ......... for the love of jebus!!

Haha, the boards becoming a microcosm of the larger football supporting community in Britain as a whole!! What do you think there is that could be on my agenda, or indeed any of the current Leeds mods agenda that ensures that Leeds fans get a better deal on here? We have a single board like everyone else, and would like to think that all the mods are even-handed in sorting out disputes and problems. After all, the Leeds board has been the subject of more piss-taking (understandably) than any other in my time here, but it hasn't been heavily policed, with anything that might be prone to offend anyone, hastily removed. By the way, for the record, give or take one, or maybe two Leeds fans, I chat predominantly with others while I'm on here. PS. Cheers Ash!

BTW, I didn't push for 'Songs Of Praise', it was a compromise that was moved when a suitable Harry Secombe replacement could not be found for a new run of 'Take The High Road'.

Merely promoting the sacred virtues of free thinking and choice old chap. Ah, very good! Well in that case I suggest that people use their free thinking and choice to continue their investigations into certain candidates' backgrounds! ;D
