What's the issue with FW? The admin team seem to hate all of us, as we went off somewhere else to have fun for a bit ........ now we're like the under class on here, and don't get the same rights as others on here!! Maybe we should all switch our allegance to Leeds and try not to rock the boat!! ....... that seems to be the way of things on here!!

Out of curiosity, Cav, were you an admin member on here when you went off to (or made?) FW? I was a mod.............not that it should make any difference.

And Jeez, it's just a Message Board already!

I was just thinking that if you, as a mod, decided to high-tail it and go do something else, it does suggest reliability and dependability issues. I personally wouldn't hold it against you - I'm much more of the 'second chance' school of thought, for the most part - but I could also appreciate why it might have left a bitter taste. I'm just hypothesising, mind...

What do they think I'm gonna do? What are they scared off?

It could, of course, just be that they want to make sure someone new has a crack of the whip...

Hardly fair that I'm not allowed to even make the vote.

You are being really narrow minded about hippies. The easy riders were hippies, they weren't the never working, never doing anything that helps, sapping recourses, lying around doing nothing other than occasionally being annoying kind of hippies. They were about having a good time, being original, themselves, making peace and getting high. hippie, hippy Show phonetics noun [C] a person, typically young, especially in the late 1960s and early 1970s, who believed in peace, was opposed to many of the accepted ideas about how to live, had long hair, and often lived in groups and took drugs Not really Lukey, they where entrepreneurs who had fun on the way. The whole point of their journey was to deliver a consignment of coke. Yes they where care free on the way, but tried to keep a level head. I would say they where bikers more than hippies, but not the sort that would be part of a chapter etc., Well if you look at the description there, it's not exactly far off is it? Most young people in the 60s were hippies so when you’re being prejudice against hippies there's an awful lot of people you're talking about today who aren't hippies any more but they still may hold some of the ideals.

You're right, but hey... chill. You made your point, and you know it won't change owt. Unless you want a digital revolution... but I think that was tried before! Anyway I'm getting lunch, back in a few mins

...... but wasn't Jules on FW, surely he should be banned from standing as well?? As should H, and me and plenty of others ...... or is it just you they've a grudge against?? You and I didn't set it up though did we?! For the record though, it was a good board - and for a while I was very happy there! *Oh yeah, and both the Jen's were on FW... but I'm not digging* Yeah bring back FW that place was funky!

Agreed, it should maybe be up to the users whether or not we see you as dependable enough or not - it could just be the whole 'give someone new a go' thing, as I said, but then I don't see why FW needed mentioning in that case...

Someone ticked me off for having a victim complex lately... *whistles* You have the germ of a point, but no more than that... you mostly get shit when you stir around for it mate! And Jeez, it's just a Message Board already! It just amuses me that the admins/mods, moan about the duties involved in being a mod or admin, and how they do it all for us!! If I volunteered to be a fish monger, it would then smack of a martyr complex if I then complained how I didn't like fish guts or going home smelling of fish. It just seems to be if you face fits, and you're pally with the people in charge on here then you're a step ahead of the rest of the members, 2 steps ahead of any the old FW crowd, and 20 steps ahead of Cav!! I think a non leeds or derby daytimer should get the position as the daytimers aren't really represented at all on here!! It's all the same old bollocks ..... as usual!!

Maybe a little, however they where real free spirits not part of a commune. Also why would one of them want to be dressed as captain america, when Hippies are so anti establishment.
