Seroiusly, I cannot believe that there's not a thread for this! I must confess myself that I very rarely watch golf, maybe just catching the odd final round of a 'Major' if there's genuine British interest towards the top of the leaderboard......but the Ryder Cup is just UNMISSABLE! I just thought yesterday's play, especially the afternoon 'Four-Balls' was absolutely rivetting, the way Ian Poulter coped especially. Must confess I wanted to strangle Paul Casey for the number of putts he missed though. The moment the Leeds games finished, just after 2pm I was on the sofa and glued to the TV, and barely moved for the next 10 and a half hours. Can hardly wait 'til 4.30pm! ;D PS. Just one thing though. Was anyone else getting pissed off with Sky's coverage at the back end of the day? I counted 5 full ad-breaks in under an hour during the final stages of play. We didn't even see the tee shots on the 18th in the last two games because of it!

Lol, no idea what she looks like tbh.
USA were just better overall. Our big guns (Padraig, Garcia, Westwood, Jiminez) didn't perform, Garcia especially.
Poulter, Rose & McDowell performed very well and can return home proud of themselves.
Funny how USA perform better when Tiger isn't there!

Westwood hits out at abuseEnglishman disappointed at crowd conductLee Westwood hit out at the crowds in Kentucky following Europe's defeat insisting he had been the victim of sustained verbal abuse. Westwood lost his singles match to Ben Curtis on Sunday as Europe slipped to a 16½-11½ loss, although the contest had already been settled with Englishman's match still out on the course. Westwood had criticised Boo Weekley's celebrations earlier in the week and insisted the crowd had continued to go too far over the final couple of days of competition. "You expect the crowd to be supportive but I've been abused from start to finish," he said after his loss to Curtis. "It's the downside of the week for me. I don't think it helps. "There is a difference between supporting your side and abusing the opponents." However, Westwood was quick to admit the better side had emerged victorious, adding: "They were just too good this week, they holed their putts at the right time. "It was good golf, that kind of golf deserves to win." ---------------------------------------------- too true.... we were never going to win with faldo as captain, though...

I wouldn't neccessarily agree with that last statement Mort - yes he's a very selfish guy and hasn't always had a good relationship with the press - but it's the players who play the golf. I would agree some of his picks in this Ryder Cup were a bit off though.
As for the yank crowd, some of the antics were just shameful tbh. Furyk is a proper gent tho.
