If you can't think of your favourite, a top 5 or 10 will do. I always traditionally said OK Computer, which is great when I listen to it. However I haven't listened to it for ages now, a matter of months. The same applies for other albums I used to love, such as the first Arctic Monkeys, Definitely Maybe and lots of respected music that I just don't often listen to any more.
However, 1 album that I have consistently listened to since I got into the band around 2002 is Showbiz by Muse, I don't seem to tire of it and I prefer it over the more highly rated Origin of Symmetry.

I have about 10 stone cold favourites that will likely never change radically. But my absolute favourite album of all time for sheer life changing-ness, meaning, consistency, power etc is Master of Puppets by Metallica.

I have a list of absolute essentials which I haven't deviated much from in years too, albeit the order changes from time to time. I'd say at the moment.....
1. The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses 2. Primal Scream - Screamadelica 3. The Beatles - Abbey Road 4. The Smiths - Strangeways Here We Come 5. The Beatles - Revolver 6. The Beatles - The Beatles (White Album) 7. Beck - Odelay 8. Oasis - Definitely Maybe 9. Blur - Parklife 10. Portishead - Dummy
.....give or take a few glaring omissions which will later become obvious

Alice in Chains - Facelift Some awesome stuff on there, I would give 'Dirt' the edge over 'Facelift' though mate. 'Mellon Collie' is brilliant, I bought that the day it came out when I was 15, shame they never lived up to it.

Well, here's my proper top 10, being made up as I go along, I'm not really thinking about it:
Muse - Showbiz Radiohead - OK Computer Radiohead - The Bends Blur - Best of Blur (I'm allowing compilations) Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People say I am that's what I'm not. Oasis - The Masterplan Justin Timberlake - Future Sex/Love Sounds Oasis - Definitely Maybe Bloc Party - Silent Alarm It's always the 10th that's the hardest............................. To be honest there are 6 or 7 that could come here which are just a little bit worse than Bloc Party, so I'll leave it at 9.

Its a shame they all listen to this rnb crap..... I only choose 'Facelift' over 'Dirt' because Man in the Box is near enough my favourite song by them and I couldn't decided which album i preferred! Have you heard Pumpkins new album? Not that keen on the newer stuff but 'Mellon Collie', 'Gish' and 'Adore' are all great albums!

I think I would add Paul Weller - Wild Wood to that and the Arctics - whatever people say I am to that (and take out Beck).

Though Beck is absolutely staying! ;D Ah Wild Wood.......Moon On Your Pyjamas is a great late night track. Not sure the Artics would make an appearance unless I went to a top 50 to be honest, far too many other things on the fringes as it is.......more Primals, Smiths and Beatles, then there's The Velvet Underground, Super Furries, Air, Massive Attack, Bjork, the Stones......

Not a bad track on Wild Wood and the interludes are brilliant. Well there are the Zero 7 albums for me. 1st 2 would probably make the top ten. Air - Moon Safari is a corking album

Do you have it? Always loved 'Moon Safari', '10,000Mhz Legend' was a bit weird as a follow up but 'Talkie Walkie' was a very good comeback. '@ Premiers Symptomes' and 'The Virgin Suicides' soundtracks are both brilliant but barely mentioned though.

It's just basically a Jose Gonzalez album. Not variety with voices like with Sia, Sophie Barker and Mozez.
