211 for 3.... looks like 380 plus before close today Now, now, before we get over excited, let's just remember who we are. Well done KP, come on Bell!

Breaking news: Sri Lanka are allowing their top senior players to play in the IPL instead of the Test series against England next year... They'll offer a "weakened squad".

Breaking news: Sri Lanka are allowing their top senior players to play in the IPL instead of the Test series against England next year... They'll offer a "weakened squad". still beat us probably That may be so, but where does the line get drawn between the IPL and Tests? I would love to watch Sangakkara, Murali, Jayawardene, etc. It seems slightly pointless. Ian Botham has said on Sky that it might be an idea to play one of the "associate" nations, like Kenya, Ireland etc. Either way, a weakened Sri Lanka side or an associate member doesn't really whet the appetite for the Ashes... New ball has been taken...

Oh screw it, I'm outta here. If Pietersen or Bell get out, please post something in the way I probably would at them? Wig and heels for shorter members found in the cupboard... Either way, been a good day for England. *touches wood*

I bumped into my brother on the way home from cricket and he said KP was out!! How dare he panic me like that! Great knock by KP, and well done to Bell too. Good to see him get over 50.

So much for this pace attack of theirs! KP makes 150, Bell over 110, both still in and having a bloody good time of it. We could be in danger of a cricket score here! ;D Edit: Buggeration. KP out for 152 - bloody good knock though! Bell's pretty much secured his place for the next test if Flintoff's ready - will Colly do the same, or will he make life incredibly easy for the selectors?
