Sorry to hear that. Maybe over Christmas you'll catch a game. Lookin to overturn the Owls next Saturday ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I remember standing on the cold terraces on a large milk crate of the Vicarage Road End aged five in a blue duffel coat. Watford to the end wherever that may be. At least we aren't gloryhunters ! Lucky I wasn't born in the 40s I cannot imagine the dreary existence the only highlight being avoiding re-election to division four. Modern times are a glory relatively speaking never imagined before. I suppose I should be thankful. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Beats head again. Why was I born in Watford ? ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) It's God's way of telling you He's never liked you ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) As for sacking Betty; wasn't he all things godly to you guys just a couple of months ago? ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) At risk of sounding like I'm taking a dig ('cause this is an honest question), is this another example of unattractive football only being okay as long as it works?

Hello Ovechkin ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) We could do with a tough tackling midfielder as Seyi is off for the African nations cup and has not been playing as well as last season. Another left back and centre back as well. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

Hallo MOG . ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I reckon Olofinjana has been unsettled by talks of Premiership clubs being interested in him. Apparently there was a rumour Torino were very interested in signing Kightley for around £3M. Glory for us Mort.1984 (I'll never forgive Andy Gray ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png) ) & two playoff finals. Have to enjoy those days doubly as they come round so rarely. In actual fact we've won bugger all in terms of major titles. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) & probably never will in all eternity. Haha Neko what does that ake being born in Luton. Surely thats Hell on earth. Dante could not have conceived such an abominable place. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Only kidding. Truth is I've always been sceptical regarding AB. I love to see the ball being passed around & with skill & vision which makes it doublyhard to be a Hornets fan, I reckon Lewington was doing a great job & its his influence that passed onto the squad that AB took up.We had quality delivery on Young but its quite obvious to all at the Vic you cannot keep playing one way. Its like a drug. Use it too often & its loses its effectiveness. Other teams learn to cope with the tactics & front up physically. When they do you need to implement new tactics . I mean Timar yesterday for Argyle. Hes a plodding lump with the turning circle of the proverbial VLCC. Yet at no stage in the game did a ball pass to the side of him in the channel for the likes of Priskin to run into & where he is most effective. The game is condensed at home.Teams come to defend so we need to engineer space & you do that by accurate passing stretching the back four creating overlaps, constantly moving players. Our team is static & playing like a pinball machine. It just wot work. Combining both styles is what is needed so at times you can surprise the opposition with a long pass or deeply hit cross but not the same old lumping of the ball time & time again. And as for set pieces that crucial facet of any game.. what a shambles. You get better delivery in a Sunday football match. I'd rather see twelve year old kids from Brazil or Argentina could provide better quality than the two muppets we had yesterday. Quality delivery is unstoppable ie Adam Johnson is a star in the making & Ashley Young. We jave precious little of that at present. And I will say it again this style of football if we did go up( fat chance at present) would consign us back to relegation immediately). ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Dante could not have conceived such an abominable place. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) No, that's Hull ;D Even their HMV is store number 666! Sounds like Betty's a lot like KB, then, only with a better squad ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) Quite why Blackwell insists on playing 4-5-1 at home with a forward who's clearly incapable of playing as a lone striker is beyond me - that's nothing against Andrew, Furlong or Talbot as players; they're just crap in that role. They need someone to knock the ball down to or feed off. As Mort acknowledged, at least you have the prospect of going up and getting that money again - and Mort, at least you're not staring relegation in the face courtesy of a fucking useless previous board!

Sort of puts things in perspective. Chris Morgan Sheffield United to Wigan Athletic. Bruce sees him as ideal to shore up his leaky defence.
