With the exception of Coppell who the fuck are they to say anything, these are the measures that need to be taken in order to gain success then so be it. Southagte only just got his badges and Ince is an idiot of the highest order!

Yeah, I saw that - how long 'til there's a, " You'll never see a black English manager" whine from him d'ya think? We've hopefully got the best man for the job, end of. Very few current English managers possibly are up to the task at hand, and even fewer have any sort of track record to suggest they could manage it. People talk about how Coppell, Redknapp et al have built such fantastic teams, but that's just it - they've built them. They took years to do it, working with the players day-in, day-out. There's no guarantee they can transfer that across to international football, so why not go for the manager with the best available club record instead, on the grounds that that should give us a reasonable indicator of ability? Cue Capello. I'm quite surprised he didn't use it here

Indeed, Paul Ince would do himself a favour by keeping his whining cakehole shut! ;D Ince couldn't teach a fish to swim ;D

As I understand, he tends to play quite negative, defensive football - Italian football, really. Will our players be able to pull that off well, and will the fans and media accept it? Obviously, it won't matter if we go on and win a big trophy, but I can see him being given a rough time along the way if he does play 'Italian' football - would he be willing to put up with the constant media bile? Can't say as there's a better-qualified manager putting his name forward right now - though international football is very different to club football, so maybe Lippi would be better in that respect. Be interesting to see if he can make the transition smoothly! To put it simply "If they can't then FUCK OFF - the manager is the top man and if the players can't play to his formation or ideas or ideals then bye bye!" The prima-donnas (who are too thick to realise we're the laughing stock of European football) might wake up and finally smell the coffee, and start to perform as they do domestically (I do think we've got some excellant English players - certainly enough that we should be challenging in the Finals of major International tournaments)!
